Politics is a big show

There are various shows that politicians use to make popular news. However, it is rare to see such a bizarre show in life.

Trim the green onions yourself… President Yoon cooks kimchi stew and serves food at ‘Myeongdong Restaurant’

정치는 쇼다. Politics is a big show! 파 직접 다듬어…윤 대통령, 김치찌개 끓여 ‘명동밥집’ 배식 봉사

On the 27th, Yoon Seok-yeol visited ‘Myeongdong Restaurant’ and volunteered for free meals. This is Yoon Seok-yeol’s third time volunteering at Myeongdong Restaurant.

The President's Office announced that Yoon Seok-yeol served free meals and encouraged volunteers at the Myeongdong Restaurant in Myeongdong Cathedral in Seoul this morning. He served food distribution here in March 2022, when he was elected president, and visited the Myeongdong restaurant again in September of that year after his inauguration.

Seok-yeol Yoon arrived at a restaurant in Myeong-dong at 10:30 a.m., put on his apron and sanitary hat, and personally prepared ingredients such as green onions and onions. Yoon Seok-yeol cooked pork kimchi stew, one of the menu items that day. The lunch menu on this day included pork kimchi stew, cucumber and chive salad, Thai shrimp dumplings, five-bokji, and castella bread.

Yoon Seok-yeol then moved to the outdoor distribution area and distributed kimchi stew for 50 people on plates brought by volunteers. This place operates in a way that volunteers collect food and place it on empty tables, and then visitors enter and eat in their turn.

Afterwards, Yoon Seok-yeol visited the table and served food to those who wanted additional side dishes, saying things like “Sour cucumbers are good for digestion” and “Enjoy your meal.”

When the volunteer said, “Thank you for your hard work,” he said, “What the president does is similar to this. He is said to have responded by saying, “In the end, it is about solving the problem of the people making a living.”

At the end of his volunteer work, Yoon expressed his gratitude to the volunteers and Myeongdong restaurant staff. The President's Office sponsored 2 tons of rice, one of the ingredients needed for free meals.

The President's Office explained that Yoon's free meal service was "an action in line with the President's usual philosophy and will to strengthen social solidarity and contribute to creating a warm society."

The biggest problem that the Korean people feel is the president.
