'First' album by a foreign artist this year
BTS Jungkook's 'GOLDEN' is continuing its box office undefeated history by becoming the first Asian artist album to record 1 billion streams in 2024.

Jungkook's first solo album 'GOLDEN' will be released on Spotify, the
world's largest music streaming platform, in 2024. Surpassed 1 billion
streams. This is the first record for an album by an Asian artist.
Last March, Jungkook achieved a total of 1 billion streams on Spotify
by 2024, setting a record as the first and only K-pop solo singer,
showing off his unrivaled influence and powerful solo power in the
global music market.
'GOLDEN', released in November of last year, is the first K-pop solo
singer album in Spotify's history and the fastest studio album by an
Asian singer to exceed 3.2 billion streams (before filtering). In
addition, Jungkook surpassed more than 5.5 billion streams with all
credits from his Spotify personal account (profile) and became the first
K-pop solo singer to achieve a new record, proving his title as a 'new
